Our Fight for a Fair Transit Village

Our Fight for a Fair Transit Village

We are closer than ever to reaching an agreement with the County and Carlisle Development Group
regarding the NW 7 Ave Transit Village. But we are in a crunch – this item is scheduled to come before
the County’s Regional Transportation Committee next week Tuesday, February 8th.

Please send an email to County Manager Burgess and Matt Greer of Carlisle urging them to reach a resolution before February 8th: A Fair Transit Village

Last Thursday I let you know that we were meeting with the County Manager, George Burgess, to discuss the conditions of our building and our position that development on our block must create jobs and other economic opportunities for area residents. We asked our supporters to send an email to Manager Burgess. We had a great response, and now we need more action to keep the pressure on.

We were encouraged to hear from Mr. Burgess that he supports the signing of an agreement between the Community, the County, and Carlisle.

But the devil is in the details and we don’t have much time. In order to support this project moving forward, we must get something concrete.

Please email Burgess and Greer and urge them to reach a resolution before February 8th: A Fair Transit Village

Onward!
